Before uniforms, before medals - there was only the spirit. The spark that turned a handful of men in a Philadelphia tavern into Continental Marines. Two hundred and fifty years later, that same fire still burns inside every Marine who's earned the Eagle Globe and Anchor.

This design represents all Marines from 1775 to the Civil War, featuring many aspects of the Civil War era insignia, to today.
